Mission
The Mission Task Group seeks to develop a vision for mission, encourage a real heart for the spread of the gospel and provide a framework to facilitate partnerships with people and mission organisations.
We took for our model of mission the partnership demonstrated by the church in Philippi who supported the apostle Paul in his ministry. Paul considered the Philippians to be partners in the gospel (Philippians 1:5), they prayed for him (Philippians 1:19), they suffered along with Paul (Philippians 1:29-30), they sent people to help with missionary activities (Philippians 2:25) and they supported Paul financially (Philippians 4:16). With this concept of partnership, we consider ourselves in relationship with our mission links.
Partnership infers responsibility, care and communication and we are committed to praying, knowing and caring for our missionary families and partner projects and promoting their interests within in each of our congregations. People from each congregation are part of the Mission Task Group in order to help meet this aim.
