Paul Dale - Senior Pastor

I’m the Senior Pastor of Church by the Bridge. I’m married to Rachel, and we have the privilege of raising Samuel (age 5). My main roles being preaching and teaching, pastoring the Satuday 5:30pm and Sunday 5pm and 6:45pm congregations, overseeing the staff team, training leaders, as well as thinking through the vision and strategy for Church by the Bridge. I’m passionate about Biblical preaching which engages both the heart and mind; encouraging believers to live Christ-centred lives which make the gospel attractive to others; discipling men 1-1; training which equips people to serve Jesus in a fresh and faithful way; and church planting.

Since we started Church by the Bridge in 2005, I’ve been humbled by God’s good provision and his kindness in growing his kingdom through our church here. I moved from the UK in 2002, where I was a minister of a church in London. Outside of church, you can find me running, swimming or riding most days as I train for and compete in triathlons (up to Ironman distance). I’d like to call myself a surfer as well - but in truth I enjoy the paddling out the back and sunbaking! I enjoy good coffee, good clothes and good music! Email Paul

Mark Smith - Assistant Pastor

I’m married to Anna and we have a son and four daughters. I studied theology in Sydney, and have had the privilege of living and working in different parts of this great city, country NSW and overseas in Ireland. Coming to Kirribilli at the start of 2007, my particular responsibility is to care for the 8am and 9:45am ‘all age’ congregation. I love to see people know the Lord Jesus; and pray that by loving God wholeheartedly, our church will be a blessing to those around us. Email Mark

Steph Menear - Women’s Pastor

I’m the Women’s Pastor at Church by the Bridge, and my role is to oversee the pastoral care of women at church and to disciple and train our Connect group leaders. My main involvement is with the 9:45am and 5pm Sunday congregations. The best part of my week is the time I spend reading the Bible and praying with women over a coffee. Outside of church, I love meeting friends for brunch, going to the movies, reading the Saturday paper and having people over for dinner. I aspire to one day learn to sew, play the guitar and speak Cantonese! Email Steph

Hayley Neal - Community Pastor

(part-time)
It is a joy to involved in encouraging our family at Church by the Bridge to actively contribute to the life of our local community in Kirribilli - whether lending a helping hand, caring for those in need, providing helpful resources, hosting community events and activities such as our Carols under the Bridge, or by assisting those who want to explore faith and scope out Jesus. I dream for more and more opportunities, not only for our church but for myself, to show and share the love of Jesus with all people. Six things which make me especially happy are: when strangers become friends, bright colours; the hum of my sewing machine; reading and watching plays; a fresh harbour breeze; and shoes. I write a blog - Without a Shepherd, and study part-time at Moore Theological College. Email Hayley

Steve Kryger - Media and Communications Pastor

(part-time)
I am excited to start this new role in 2010, using technology and a range of communications to grow disciples of Jesus, and make Jesus known in Kirribilli and beyond. Working with our very talented and servant-hearted volunteers, I oversee the development of our website, internal and external communications, marketing campaigns and public relations. I attend Saturday Night by the Bridge with my wife, Rachael. I also write a weekly column about technology and the church for the Sydney Anglicans website, as well as for my own website - Communicate Jesus. Email Steve

Dave Freeman - Pastoral Assistant

(part-time)
I am working part-time at church while also doing further study at Bible College. My role includes overseeing 6.45pm church and Connect Groups, involvement in men’s ministry and some ministry to the elderly. It is a wonderful privilege to be able to serve God in this way. I long for his Name to be honoured in this city and for those who are his to be growing by the Spirit in their love and knowledge of the King, Christ Jesus our Saviour. I enjoy the outdoors, being active and spending time with family and friends. Email Dave

Robyn Greenway - Administrator

(part-time)
Robyn is the administrative glue that holds the staff team together! Robyn is also the friend voice that greets you when you call the church, and is usually the first point of contact for people who make enquiries about the church. Robyn’s role is vital in communicating visitors to our church, communicating with staff and church members, coordinating rosters, managing finances and much more. Email Robyn
